The Climate Commissions (2010-2020) is an intiative of Tippingpoint Australia that charts the journey of our transition to a greener future through a series of international arts projects.

2012

RIOT by Torque Show – Ross Ganf, Ingrid Weisfeld and Vince Crowley explore the place of protest in performance and the wider political landscape, (in partnership with Dara Foundation and Malthouse Theatre).

2011

Home Art- residents in North Melbourne have a dance work choreographed on them in their own homes by Lucy Guerin  (in partnership with the City of Melbourne).

Control of the Commons by Time’s Up – Tim Boykett undertakes a series of watercourse journeys in Australia and Europe, investigating water usage, attitudes to water and kinship/friendship networks and presenting these investigations in varied forms including direct documentation, kinship and friendship analysis, interviews, photography and video mapping (in partnership with IETM/Kaaitheatre Brussels).

2010
The Climate Changers – Brisbane based artist/producer Jaina Kalifa, science educator Paul Brandon, and artsworker Juliette Kalifa, produced the Climate Changers workshops to teach kids about climate change and help them create artworks exploring possible solutions.

Climate change is daunting. We have mostly agreed that it’s happening. But it’s big and what can we do about it anyway? What about cyclone-powered electricity grids? Or lightning-run barbeques? Or dog saliva showers? These are some of the ingenious ideas Year 5 children from Milton State School in Brisbane suggested when we asked them to come up with creative solutions to climate change.
